For organizations
Your website defines you. What is it saying?
We understand the unique challenges of nonprofit work. Let us deal with the tech, so you can focus on the mission.
Four goals for what we build
and the services that enable them
Credibility
In thirty seconds, a visitor should know what you do, where you work, and whether you're worth their time. Easier said than done.
- Website design and build: site speed, SEO and schema, multilingual when you need it
- Brand identity and graphics
- Content strategy: what the site says before anyone touches design
Capacity
Capacity is always the barrier. Web work is often a burden on project or admin staff with many responsibilities, or passed off to a contractor who doesn't see the big picture. Funding can be feast or famine.
- Data management systems: organization storage, email, and a CRM that tracks members, donors, volunteers, and participants in one place
- Grant writing assistance
- Reporting: the metrics that matter, tied to your website and your other systems
Engagement
Audience-centered strategy
- Communications and tech strategy
- Web tools: donations, forms, program and event registration, with automatic donor and event follow-up built in
Stewardship
Many organizations see web infrastructure as a one-off project. When it inevitably starts serving them less and less, breaking or failing to keep pace with their growth, the gap between how they are presenting themselves and how they want to present keeps growing.
- Maintenance and content updates: hosting, backups, security, ongoing SEO, and advising when you need a second opinion
- Accessibility and compliance
I never expected to lead an international nonprofit. But in 2019, when I was called on by a stellar group of northern youth leaders to lead the development of a new organization that would serve as a power base for youth leaders across the North, I dove in head first. The 5 years I spent leading the Arctic Youth Network, ultimately as Executive Director, were the ride of my life. Partnering with some of the most prominent institutions in the north, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars, and getting to know exceptional leaders from across the Arctic - that's the fun stuff. It's managing an organization's worth of files, keeping the website up-to-date, and debugging email access that keeps the wheels turning though. I learned it all by necessity, but I'm grateful to now be able to help you skip the hard part and build systems that enable the real work to be done.

Nonprofit digital transformation projects are often grant-funded. If that money is not yet secured, we can advise on the best project structure, framing, and funders - or even write the full application.
